It was founded in early 2000 by high standard professionals in building, road, water works and related fields who are devoted to resource development, social and environment aspects.
As a company, Cherenet General Contractor is young and its birth is caused by new political and economic system
adapted in Ethiopia, which is a free economy system capable of attracting foreign investors particularly in industry,
ground water, urban and rural development. These political and economic changes attracted the attention of foreign and local companies in the field of resources and water development. In effect, a number of companies have taken
their likeness and started their projects. Thus, this situation has resulted in the inception of Cherenet G.C
